INoVA Hub

Discover smarter ways to explore models
From organoids to in vivo, the INoVA Hub helps you find the right fit for your research

INoVA Hub

The INoVA hub is a web-based platform for the Interactive Navigation Of in Vivo models and Alternatives

Its main purpose is to support researchers in the quest for suitable models to test their hypotheses.

INoVA is designed to help scientists navigate the entire ecosystem of screening models. This includes non-animal innovations like organoids and in vitro systems, but also the animal-based models in use.

Focused insights from text-mining

The INoVA hub is built on TNO’s expertise in data-driven text-mining

It extracts models from PubMed on a daily basis using a Large Language Model (LLM), fined-tuned by TNO for this specific task. Apart from models, associated meta data is curated on which the user can filter. The interface allows querying and/or filtering on the following features:

  • Model name (e.g. caco-2 cells, mouse heart tissue, 3d vessels on chip, autophagic flux assay)
  • Model readout (e.g. uptake efficiency, vascular defects, association of jp2 with sk2 channel, vps34/mtor activation)
  • Model system type (in vivo, in vitro, ex vivo, in silico, in chemico)
  • Model system format (e.g. bioengineered system, cell)
  • Model Inducer type (e.g. diet, chemical, genetic engineering)
  • Health domain (i.e. disease area (e.g. cardiovascular disease) or physiology (e.g. sleep)
  • Organ system (e.g. cardiovascular system)
  • Species (e.g. human, rodent, zebrafish, dog)

Getting access

The INoVA hub is free for non-commercial use. To start your query open the dashboard by clicking on the button. For commercial use, please contact us.

Help on the use of the interface is provided in the dashboard views. For additional questions, get in touch with us.
